Jenny's Wedding Cakes Auctions off Wedding Cake!!

I got this email today and wanted to pass it along. Jenny Williamson makes some of the most beautiful & delicious wedding cakes I've ever seen (tasted). If you haven't decided on a cake yet, this might be a way to do that & help a good cause at the same time. If you can't make the auction, I highly recommend a visit to her site. Here's the email:

Hello Friends,

Just wanted to let you know about a special event that I am participating in that is taking place on November 4th in Newburyport. It is called "Treasures and Travels", a gala dinner /goods and services auction to benefit the historical society. The reason I am telling all of you is because we are actually auctioning off a wedding or special occasion cake for 2007! If you know any brides who may be interested just pass this along. You do not have to attend the dinner to bid on an item. If any of you are interested, some of the other items include:

1. Three nights for two in Tuscany
2. Lunch for four in NYC with Leigh and Leslie Keno of "Antiques Road Show" fame
3. Fully rigged Town Class Sailboat and Trailer
4. Two night stay in Manhattan apartment

Other items include: Fine wines, Red Sox box seats, catered dinners, golf trips, numerous antiques including paintings, furniture, china and pottery and silver, boating tours, vacation in Maine, weekend getaways, spa services, landscape consultations, and too much more to mention. Estimates begin at only $75 so there are prices for everyone.

The auction preview is 6 to 7pm, Open bar from 6pm, hors d'oeuvres, sit down dinner and auction. Tickets are $65 per person. If you'd like to bid on an item but cannot attend the dinner you may preview the auction beforehand. Great ideas for holiday giving !!
