I know I may only have your attention for a few minutes so I'll get right to the point. If you hire me as your disc jockey, you'll have a great reception - one that you, your family & your friends will all enjoy. That's my promise to you.
My name is Greg Hodges and I am the owner of 5 Star Events, a Massachusetts based disc jockey company that has specialized in wedding receptions from Boston to Cape Cod for over 20 years. The common thread of my receptions is that each has music perfectly matched to the bride & groom and the guests in attendance.
My style is more reserved than flashy. If you're looking for a disc jockey who needs to be the center of attention, I am not that guy. I don't do back flips, magic tricks or tell jokes. I don't make your guests dress up in silly costumes or do embarrasing things. I play great music and keep the dance floor full without drawing unnecessary attention to myself.
Although, I prefer to fly under the radar, I've recently had some recognition that lends to my crediblity. In October of 2006 I was named "Boston's Best Wedding Entertainer 2006" by the editors at CBS 4. In late September, I had a role in the series finale of Showtime Entertainment's "The Brotherhood". I was chosen by the director, from a pool of some of the areas best dj's, to play the role of a wedding disc jockey .
I'll give you all the best secrets, hints & tips to make sure you get the most of your wedding day. For over 20 years, I've been part of more than 2000 events. I know from experience what works & what doesn't. I track all of the new wedding trends and keep my finger on the pulse of what's going on. Most importantly, I'll take the time to make sure you know these things. When you hire me for your reception, you're getting much more than a dj for a 5 or 6 hour span, you have me at your service from now until then.
If you consider me, you'll find I'm dedicated to my profession and to my clients. I'll go to great lengths to make sure that your entire wedding experience is a great one - and that starts long before the actual reception. I believe planning your wedding should be as enjoyable as the event itself. To help with this, I've developed resources and tools to make this part of the process fun, easy & worry free.
In our intital consultation, you'll receive the cornerstone to my wedding planning system. It's a 15 page wedding planner that guides you through every detail of your wedding ceremony & reception. It comes complete with music suggestion lists & a cd sampler filled with unique wedding song ideas.
Several months ago I created an online wedding playlist creator. You can use it to search through over 60,000 songs, create playlists that can be saved, updated or emailed, and listen to them all online.
I've recently developed 2 new tools that will be very helpful to couples planning weddings. The first is Boston Wedding Forum an online wedding discussion board used to discuss everything related to weddings. If questions arise that can't be answered on the forums, I will present them to fellow disc jockeys and some of Boston's most respected wedding experts for informed responses and expert advice.
As an active Boston wedding disc jockey, I see current trends in music, themes, & ideas as they unfold. Passing this information along in a timely manner is the reason for my second tool, thewww.bostonweddingblog.com. If you're not familiar with "blogging", it's basically an online, web-based, form of journaling. After events and as ideas come to me, I plan on detailing them in the blog. I believe both the Boston Wedding Forum & the Boston Wegging Blog will prove to be very useful tools in the near future.
