Frequently Asked Questions

How much input will my fiance' and I have with the music?

It's your wedding day. I'll be happy to play anything you'd like while staying away from the songs you prefer not to hear. When you get my planning system, you'll see that there's a section entirely devoted to this. It's broken down into "must plays", "must-not plays", and "fit these songs in if you can".

When we meet for our final consulation, we'll discuss these lists in detail, before coming up with a plan for the day.

What if you don't have the songs that we want?

With over 65,000 songs in my collection, it's unlikely that you'll have many songs on your list that I don't already have. We'll make arrangements in advance for these songs. Say you have a request that you didn't think about until the day of the party. With my system, I'm able to "download" songs over the internet from almost every location in the state. That allows access to another 8 to 10 million songs.

Do you carry backup equipment?

Yes. From the major components, to my music library, right down to the last wire and connector, I have a replacement for anything that could potentially stop the music on your wedding day.

I'm anxious about planning my reception but have know idea where to start. Can you help?

Of course. In order to craft the perfect playlist, we'll need some tools. As a customer you'll have one of the most in depth reception planning systems available. It includes everything you need to completely plan your reception music and events.

How will you dress for my reception?

I dress formally, either business suit or tuxedo, for receptions unless requested otherwise.

We'll be having our wedding ceremony at the reception site but in a different location than dinner and dancing. Can you provide music for this?

Yes I can provide a sound system for this area that will enable us to play music as well as have microphones for readings, the ceremony and vows. If you decide on live musicians for the ceremony, I can provide a sound system for them as well.

A similar system can be provided for cocktail music if this will take place in a seperate room.

We'd prefer to have a d.j. that doesn't "take-over" our reception but at the same time we want all of our guests to have fun. What is your style?

It may be easier to define my style by what I don't do. I don't tell jokes or do magic tricks. You won't see me doing back flips or cartwheels to draw attention to myself. And I won't be dressed up in costumes teaching your guests the "hokey pokey" or the "chicken dance".

I will make your reception fun by playing good music, one great song after another. Most of the receptions I play, have the dance floor full before the entree' is even on the table and continue that way until the end. That's what I expect for your reception.
